Olli Lolli: Allergy Aware Kids Apparel

We are absolutely over-the-moon excited about Olli Lolli, a clothing line for kids that was born right here in Toronto!

Toronto mom, Michelle Williams, was afraid of her son losing his epinephrine auto-injector when she sent him off to school so she created the concept of “wearing” your medication instead of carrying it. The clothing is made in Canada of organic materials. The designs are fun and funky and they certainly don’t scream: “I have an allergy!”

Olli Pocket Gear is equipped with a pocket for an epinephrine auto-injector, insulin injector or inhaler. The pocket also contains a tear-away tag containing your child’s medical information.

I couldn’t be a bigger fan of this great Canadian company! Show your support and like them on Facebook & follow them on Twitter.

Set It and Forget It!

Do you remember that catchy infomercial for the Showtime Standard Rotisserie Oven?

(Click on the image above to watch Ron Popeil in action!)

I recently remembered his simple catch phrase and realized that it applies perfectly to AEDs. Therefore, as Ron says: “If you’ve followed all of the instructional material, you just SET IT AND FORGET IT!”

I decided to create my own ad (lol)!

(Click to watch a quick video about how to use AEDs!)

To use an AED: Turn on, follow the prompts and press the shock button if instructed.

Bee Stings

Bee stings can be very painful, but they are fairly simple to deal with if the victim does not have a severe allergy to bee stings. Check out this month’s FREE 1-page PDF Quick Reference Guide to learn more about the signs, symptoms and treatment of mild and severe bee stings.
