Once in a while, even superheroes need a sick day.
If you’re not feeling well, don’t feel guilty spending a day in bed recuperating. You’ll feel better for taking it easy and everyone else will thank you. To feel better even faster (especially if a sore throat is bringing you down), try my favourite, all-natural soothing drink.
Throat-Soothing Ginger Tea
3 Simple Ingredients:
- Ginger Root (very inexpensive and it can be found in the produce section of your local grocery store)
Use a potato peeler to remove the skin from the ginger root and chop into small pieces or grate using a cheese grater. Place the ginger in a small pot with water (approximately 3 cups). Bring water and ginger to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes. Strain ginger from water, add a squeeze of honey to sweeten to your liking, add the juice from 1/4 of a lemon and serve. Enjoy!
NOTE: The more ginger you add, the stronger the drink will be, but adding the same number of slices as pictured above is a good measure (4-5 medium sized pieces for 3 cups of water).
